Famine in East Africa
Famine is a severe lack of food that results in numerous deaths and suffering among the population. Unfortunately, east Africa has experienced some of the most extreme famine incidents due to ecological changes and cycles of poverty and conflict. Areas that are prone to drought, such as east Africa, experience a reduced harvest season, leading to crop failure due to limited rain and soil fertility.
